Microherbs are a big commodity in Europe and the Middle East. Saw a reference to Microherbs by our friend Grahame Dunling in a recent post on Linkedin and decided to experiment using our techniques to attempt to grow them. Microherbs have been described to pack an unparalled punch of flavor so we are anxious to taste the fruit of our efforts.
Below are pics of both sango radish and flax microgreens that we are experimenting with. Microherbs are what we might refer to as baby greens but they are much smaller as it seems the tender spot is when the first true leaves start to sprout and the microgreen transitions to full plant. We are trying several crops with a different technique and media to grow past our microgreen stage and get to the microherb.
Stay tuned in the coming weeks for results and a new kit that will provide a hybrid experience of growing BOTH microgreens and microherbs at the same time !!!
